I cannot hear calls on my Surface Duo 2 unless on speaker phone

When I make (or answer) calls on my Surface Duo 2, the other person can hear me, but I cannot hear them unless I put the phone on speaker phone or use a Bluetooth device.

It worked for months and then stopped about six weeks ago.

I've updated all the software (including upgrading to the latest Android 12L), and I just did a hard reset. But still no sound on a phone call.

HELP!

Sam

My problem was inability to hear calls using phone in normal mode. (Speaker phone and Bluetooth calls worked fine.) I hoped the Android 12 update would fix it, but it didn't. I completed a hard reset, and that didn't fix it either.

My phone was under warranty, so I made use of that. They shipped me a refurbished unit (and I shipped mine back.) THAT FIXED IT!

I think it must have been some kind of hardware issue.

Cheers Sam. I think I'll do the same.

I had the phone replaced under warranty which fixed the problem.
