Tap to pay using Google wallet when connected to an approved credit card is no longer working. The issue presented in the last few days prior to the security update. I've used it flawlessly for many months on this phone and now it refuses to work, it simply vibrates when tapped to a terminal. Not sure if it's google or microsoft in this instance but it's unlikely my bank after having spoken to them it seems to be more likely one of the former. Other Duo owners are reporting the same issue. Note that my loyalty cards still function OK with NFC Google wallet. I'm in Australia.

I do this daily since the problem - unfortunately without success 😭

and btw same problem here in Germany.

I think that Microsoft is making a huge mistake when they once again stop developing a great device. The Duo 2 is sensational for me. The last device that I was great and that is no longer available today, was the Microsoft Band 😭😭😭

And to the Duo 2 still - 1750, - € and then get stuck with Android 11 - very bad and disappointing.

This is not an answer, if you care to read all the above thread you would know that this was the first thing many of us have done. This is software issue that needs addressing by either Microsoft or Google. The problem started just prior to the last Microsoft security update and continues still weeks later. This is a worldwide issue affecting what seems like all Duo 2 users.

The sensitivity of the NFC - tap to pay function has changed and it no longer functioning as it was. Why has this not been fixed with hundreds complaining about it? I have sent reports and faults to both Microsoft and Google, also sent through the log files as requested but nothing seems to be getting done.

This is a huge issue that needs to be addressed now and not in however many weeks a new update will be sent out. The updates are now a month late too and offer nothing but the most minimal changes - which is unacceptable. What are the engineers doing and why does Microsoft think it is acceptable to de-prioritise a $2500+ device that's still well within its service period?

It's been over two weeks since the August update and still no resolution on the NFC Google Wallet issue...

What annoys me is a lack of real response from microsoft, they need to acknowledge the issue and tell us they are working on it. It's not my job to fault find for them. This should have been fixed within days.

Exactly. There is no response from Microsoft which even acknowledges the issue. Just roll back the update!
