Tap to pay using Google wallet when connected to an approved credit card is no longer working. The issue presented in the last few days prior to the security update. I've used it flawlessly for many months on this phone and now it refuses to work, it simply vibrates when tapped to a terminal. Not sure if it's google or microsoft in this instance but it's unlikely my bank after having spoken to them it seems to be more likely one of the former. Other Duo owners are reporting the same issue. Note that my loyalty cards still function OK with NFC Google wallet. I'm in Australia.

Mine was working fine after the update but I just had the problem at a terminal, it seems it's not fixed for me after all. Not sure why it was ok for a, few days and it's acting up again. I will do some testing see if it's intermittent.

I found the problem and mine is fixed.

I wanted to update google play services, I found out that is a beta version and as a testing version so I removed myself as tester and uninstalled the beta version, then restarted my phone.

When I opened the wallet, my cards were deleted and had to install them back.

I tried the google wallet with different cards and terminals and it is working fine.

It is a Google glitch in there Google Play Services beta version and not Microsoft update. Maybe the Microsoft update has triggered the glitch.

So if you have in Google Play Services beta version uninstall it, restart your phone and you should be up and running.

Except in my case that isn't the solution as I'm not running a beta version of play services or Google wallet. It is very likely a Google issue though, I think it happening around the time of the two updates from Microsoft is just incidental as my issues started prior to the first update by a couple of days.

I might try resetting Google play services though and see if that fixes anything.

No, I'm not running the beta version of anything either so that has no bearing on this for me. As I've said a couple of times, for me it works intermittently and always has done from the start of this. Works one day - every card, every merchant, every terminal. Then does not work for the next 5 or 6 days. Then works again for one day. Until Microsoft [or Google] acknowledges that the issue exists and states what the issue is and that it has been actually fixed by Microsoft [or Google], me or anyone else having some success for one day is not going to convince me that this is not going to refuse to work again 2 days later!!
