Hello,
Please try uninstalling and updating the Phone App by opening the Google Play Store, search for "Phone by Google-Caller ID & Spam Protection", click Uninstall, and then click update. Also, please clear the cache by going to Settings, Apps and Notifications, See All Apps, locate "Phone", storage and cache, clear cache.
thank you for the reply, i have followed these and now i can receive calls (can see on the screen if someone is calling), but i cannot make calls as the phone app is still crashing, it stays open for a second and then crashes. why is it so difficult for the primary function of the phone to work consistently, all we are trying to do is switching off and on tactics to get this to work??, difficult to understand the logic!! why windows cant develop your own app at least for calling when releasing a phone, dont know what else to be done now.
