Surface Duo 2 Hotspot not working after Android 12L Update

I've been getting this problem since day one after the update was released.

Very frustrating not being able to hotspot my phone. Once I turn it on, it turns it off automatically and sometimes Settings App crashes. Basically, I can't use this feature anymore.

I could mention other bugs I have that matter, but this one is the worst.

    Hi

    I managed to fix this by booting into safe mode. Then turned on Hotspot and then rebooted again into normal mode. Hotspot started working again.

    Hello everyone,

    Can you please do the following and see if it recovers the setting

    1. check for Play Store updates
    2. check for Operating system updates
    3. reboot your device (if an update processed, reboot again)
    4. go into setting app and cycle toggle the hotspot Off->On->Off
      • Settings -> Network & Internet -> Hotspot & Tethering -> Wi-Fi Hotspot -> toggle Use Wi-Fi Hotspot
    5. attempt to turn the hotspot feature from the quick launch panel

    The hot spot function is correctly working on my SD2, T-Mobile.

    I have the same problem with my SD2. I noticed it today as I tried to use the hotspot for the first time since Android 12L update.

    Anyone found a solution or do we have to wait till next update and hope Microsoft fixes the issue with the next update

    Same on my duo 1. Looks like it interferes with data completely. I notice as soon as I turn on the Hotspot my data starts disconnecting and reconnecting constantly.
