Issue with connecting MS Surface Go to HP Zbook Thunderbolt 3 Dock

Does the MS Surface Go work with the HP EliteBook Thunderbolt 3 dock (model HSTNN-CX01)? The dock works fine with the HP Elite book, but when I plug it into the USB-C port of my MS SurfaceGo, the only thing that appears to work is battery charging. The MS Surface Go does not seem to recognize the dock for any of the ports or any hardware that's connected to the dock.

I have my keyboard, mouse, monitors all connected to the dock. However, when plugged into the MS Surface, nothing works besides battery charging. When plugged into the HP Elitebook, everything connects like normal.

    I appreciate you raising this concern to us, and I understand that you're experiencing an issue with your Surface. The Microsoft Surface Go is compatible with USB-C docks, but it is important to ensure that the dock is compatible with the Surface Go. The HP EliteBook Thunderbolt 3 dock (model HSTNN-CX01) is designed for HP laptops and the USB C port of Surface Go does not support Thunderbolt connection. That explains why it appears to be charging only.

    I'm experiencing the same problem, my Surface Laptop Go can not connect HP Thunderbolt HUB. but all my other PC( Macbook air, Asus TUF) without this problem.
