Duo 2 Android 12L breaks calling

Since the Android 12L update, I have not been able to make or receive calls. Incoming goes straight to voicemail and outgoing immediately ends calls. Carrier is T-Mobile. I suspect the issue is the same at what happened with the AUS phones as listed here Android 12 Breaks Calls — ZenTalk (asus.com)

This required an update to get the calls working again. Is there such as update in the works as right now my due 2 is just a tablet that cannot make calls.

Everything else works btw even calls with WhatsApp and teams

A factory reset resolved the issue for me.

I placed the device on the shelf after the issue started. I saw on Reddit that resetring the phone resolved the issue for some. There were updates to the phone and messages apps also, but the reset allowed phone calls to work for me. I don't think that people using the Duo as their daily driver would be willing to do this, though.

I've the same issue on the phone calls.

Overall, unimpressed by the update, the whole phone was working well, the this update...

Much slower response screen with gestures, a number of notifications in the drop down don't function on their buttons, speed of drop down menu slower,

Looking forward to fixes shortly for all of this.

This fixed my issue. As I merged to T-Mobile from Sprint after they purchased Sprint, I happened to have my old sim cards from the Sprint days, and I did exactly the above and when I put my T-Mobile sim card back in, it fixed the issue and was able to make calls again. How long will this last? I'm not sure, but it is working.

I actually purchased a dollar sim card at a store, non-activated, and it worked.
