Duo 2 Android 12L breaks calling

Since the Android 12L update, I have not been able to make or receive calls. Incoming goes straight to voicemail and outgoing immediately ends calls. Carrier is T-Mobile. I suspect the issue is the same at what happened with the AUS phones as listed here Android 12 Breaks Calls — ZenTalk (asus.com)

This required an update to get the calls working again. Is there such as update in the works as right now my due 2 is just a tablet that cannot make calls.

Everything else works btw even calls with WhatsApp and teams

I saw an update today. When it was complete, I powered down the Duo 2 (which had been wifi only for weeks), reinserted the T-Mobile Sim card that had been in my backup phone, booted up, and calling is finally restored. I think this may finally mean that I don't have to carry two phablets in my pockets anymore.

While I'm grateful to finally have service restored, I am disappointed at how long this took. Users of the Duo 2 are some of Microsoft's most diehard fans, and several were lost, given these posts. We were not given any indication that the problem was being worked on, or any status updates at all.

Please do a thorough postmortem on this issue before closing it, and create action steps so that the next incident *retains* your loyal consumers instead of alienating them.

I actually got a replacement from Microsoft after experiencing the calling issue after updating to Android 12L. Replacement came loaded with Android 11 and everything worked great. Stupid me upgrade to 12L after 2 weeks with the replacement and today calling broke. Luckily I purchased a sim from ATT just in case. Popped out my TMobile sim, popped in the ATT sim, then put the TMobile sim back in and I am back in business. Long story short, I think it is a problem with TMobile, sure hope they fix this soon, this swapping sims is not a viable long term fix
