Duo 2 Android 12L breaks calling

Since the Android 12L update, I have not been able to make or receive calls. Incoming goes straight to voicemail and outgoing immediately ends calls. Carrier is T-Mobile. I suspect the issue is the same at what happened with the AUS phones as listed here Android 12 Breaks Calls — ZenTalk (asus.com)

This required an update to get the calls working again. Is there such as update in the works as right now my due 2 is just a tablet that cannot make calls.

Everything else works btw even calls with WhatsApp and teams

    Jeremy,

Has Microsoft/Android gotten any further on the fix for voice connection in the USA. The last update that I have on my phone is Android 12, build #2022.819.57. There has been no activity or communication from either party. I have a case in with Microsoft support #104713263, and still no communication.

I will be back in the USA in 2 weeks, should I take a roll of quarters for the pay phone (if I could find one)LOL

    Thanks

    Wayne

So the plot thickens. Did the android update on SD2 didn't help, no voice in or out. So this business trip I brought my 4 year old LTE Sony Experia phone with me it runs on Android 9. I took my Bell Canada 5G sim and stuck it in the Sony and the phone works like a charm, and it's on the Tmobile network.

So lets analyze this Bell Sim card works. Complete, voice, text, data, and email. My SD2 with Bell sim card works in Canada and will call through to US numbers from Canada. Therefore the problem is some where between Android 12, and the networks. However, that doesn't let microsoft off the hook, They sold us all a phone (1500.00 CDN) that does not work as designed. Maybe they should get android to allow SD@ users to download and install Android 11 until they get the newer version sync'd with networks.

    Just thinkin

    Wayne

I agree 100%! If there was some communication stating they were aware of the issue and were working on it I wouldn't have bought a different phone and sold my SD2. The silence and uncertainty did it and I had to make a decision and not sit, wait and hope it gets fixed so I can actually have a phone that can make and receive phone calls. I had the SD1 and SD2...now I have a Fold 4. This issue was handled very badly and doesn't bode well for any future issues.

I also just downloaded the update and can also report success. I actually still have the active eSIM for T-mobile in the Duo 2 since the physical one is still in the mail.

I agree that some sort of update on progress would have been more helpful than what we got.
