Duo 2 Android 12L breaks calling

Since the Android 12L update, I have not been able to make or receive calls. Incoming goes straight to voicemail and outgoing immediately ends calls. Carrier is T-Mobile. I suspect the issue is the same at what happened with the AUS phones as listed here Android 12 Breaks Calls — ZenTalk (asus.com)

This required an update to get the calls working again. Is there such as update in the works as right now my due 2 is just a tablet that cannot make calls.

Everything else works btw even calls with WhatsApp and teams

PLEASE, ALL USERS REPORTING THIS PROBLEM BE SURE TO SPECIFY WHICH CARRIER PROVIDES YOUR PHONE SERVICE!

So far it seems only T-Mobile users are having this issue. Any other providers?

    TIA,

    R

I have submitting feedback w/ bug report.

I don't have access to another carrier sim card. But regardless, that is not a solution for me.

I have a Surface Duo 2 updated to Android 12 as of Monday, October 24, 2022. After the update, I was able to place phone calls up to Thursday, October 27, 2022. When placing a phone call on Saturday, Octoberr 29, 2022, the Phone App immediately displays Call Ended after selecting the Dial option. I have tried various internet fixes without success including the following: restarted the phone, Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth, cleared storage on the Phone App, uninstalled the Phone App, and reinstalled the update for the Phone App. The Google Voice app has the same behavior.

    Suggestions to resolve.

I just experienced a similar episode on my device Duo2 not working properly and going straight to Call Ended and greyed out buttons on one occasion.

Rebooted the phone, and it appears to have fixed the matter. However, I will keep looking for a solution from Microsoft.
