I wonder why they allow some credits like M(n)M above and deny others? Seems strange that they would prefer a return when the item is within the 60 day period. Sorry about your experience..
Price Reduction within 60-days of Purchase
I just saw that the Microsoft store reduced the price of the Surface Duo by $200. Microsoft has a policy that if you purchased the phone within 60-days, they'll refund you the price difference of the reduction.

2020-10-25T10:55:35+00:00 Had a similar experience to you, now waiting for the email with (hopefully) the credit information...we shall see, but if denied I will be returning it within the 60 day window even though I do like the device.

2020-10-25T02:54:49+00:00 I purchased my Duo on Sept 15 as I have been a happy Surface owner for the past 6 years.
However yesterday through MS Chat I was denied the $200 refund because I had made the purchase over 30 days ago. Needless to say I was not happy.
Today I chatted again with Microsoft Surface Purchasing and I was immediately accepted for the refund. Just received the confirmation email for the $200 refund.
If at first contact you don't get the refund try again. It's worth it.
Hope this helps others.
