Slow Wifi with brand new Surface Book 2!!!

I am so beyond disappointed!! I bought one of the most expensive versions of the Surface Book 2 (i7, 15 inches, 512 GB) and it its wifi connection is only half the speed of my old i5 and i3 laptops!!! IT IS UNACCEPTABLE for the price I paid (almost 3000 dollars for the computer, and if you add accessories and extended warranty, more than 3600!!).

I have tried everything: resetting the network, reinstalling the wireless adapter drivers, resetting windows from scratch...everything!. I have a 100 Mbps connection at home and all my laptops and smartphones get wifi speeds around 45-50 Mbps, but the SB2 gets 20 Mbps and most of the time it does not even get to 10 Mbps.

I have been reading many other testimonies online of people experiencing the same. I feel scammed. 

Not only that, it also seems that there is some kind of incompatibility with the design software I use (Sketchup and Vray). They work flawlessly in my older computers. They crash all the time with the Surface Book 2.

Seriously thinking about returning it. They pull you in with the shiny exterior, but it is a substandard product.

    does it matter how close you are to one of the access points? I'm thinking that

    if your SB2 is in a place with nearly equal signal strength that maybe that is

    what to look at.

    I am not really inbetween two APs (or satellites in mesh-network terms) with equal strength, rather one should be much stronger than the other. SB2 is really the only device affected so far, and if it really was a cause I wouldn't have bought mesh APs in the first place if the speed changes periodically!

    yeah, satellites.. the reason I mentioned this is that the Marvell wifi drivers

    have had trouble in the past when using extenders (routers and AP's configured

    as extenders) in the past. I know it's different with mesh, etc. -- and while

    one should be much stronger, there was something in the driver that wasn't

    handling this correctly.

    I also strongly think that the driver is handling Mesh networks incorrectly somehow. The 15" SB2 has as Wifi device a  Marvell AVASTAR Wireless, maybe Microsoft should do their own speed tests with Mesh networks to find the root of the problem. So far I will do further tests in different locations and network loads.

    Sorry, but I think that restricting this issue to mesh networks is a bit of a red herring: there are many of using these devices who have this issue with regular, non-mesh networks.

    I have made numerous attempts to resolve this slow wireless issue on 3 different SB2 units, but nothing seems to help.
