Slow Wifi with brand new Surface Book 2!!!

I am so beyond disappointed!! I bought one of the most expensive versions of the Surface Book 2 (i7, 15 inches, 512 GB) and it its wifi connection is only half the speed of my old i5 and i3 laptops!!! IT IS UNACCEPTABLE for the price I paid (almost 3000 dollars for the computer, and if you add accessories and extended warranty, more than 3600!!).

I have tried everything: resetting the network, reinstalling the wireless adapter drivers, resetting windows from scratch...everything!. I have a 100 Mbps connection at home and all my laptops and smartphones get wifi speeds around 45-50 Mbps, but the SB2 gets 20 Mbps and most of the time it does not even get to 10 Mbps.

I have been reading many other testimonies online of people experiencing the same. I feel scammed. 

Not only that, it also seems that there is some kind of incompatibility with the design software I use (Sketchup and Vray). They work flawlessly in my older computers. They crash all the time with the Surface Book 2.

Seriously thinking about returning it. They pull you in with the shiny exterior, but it is a substandard product.

    I just ran the automated fix at the above address. It brought 5.0 almost to my wired ethernet speed 100 Mbps but didn't do much for 2.4. which only got to 40 Mbps.

    A big improvement overall until Microsoft has (hopefully) a real fix.

    Just tried this on my SB2 & it made no difference whatsoever.

    Also, did an extensive ' System Update' this morning, which has just become available via Windows Update. this included new drivers for the Marvell Network & Bluetooth adapters. I had high hopes that this would furnish some improvement, but sadly no change :-(

    How does one engage Microsoft to look at this issue. Obviously this is being ignored by them> I am so fed up with the onboard Wifi I purchased a TP-Link AC600 Dongle and put it in the Surface Dock and everthing is working perfectly. A great setup to demonstrate the the Marvell Adapter is failing. Would be happy to work with Technical Support if I knew how to get them involved.

    The steps below have resolved the slows on a Surface Book 2, Surface Pro 4 and multiple Lenovo laptops. Please try the steps below to resolve. Following is a link to the article we extracted the steps from.

    Follow the steps in this article to fix the wifi issue: 

    Steps to disable Rsc manually:

    1. Open an Admin Command Prompt window:
    2. Get your network adapter name:

    powershell Get-NetAdapter

    1. Note your adapter's name (mine is: Wi-Fi)
    2. Get your network adapter "Receive segment coalescing" (Rsc) settings:

    powershell Get-NetAdapterRsc

    1. Disable Rsc for your network adapter:

    powershell Disable-NetAdapterRsc -Name ADAPTER_NAME_FROM_BEFORE

    1. Verify Rsc is disabled for ipv4 and ipv6, on your network adapter:

    powershell Get-NetAdapterRsc

    ... Should now show IPv4Enabled False, and IPv6Enabled False, for your network adapter

    1. Re-test your wireless internet connection.
