Slow Wifi with brand new Surface Book 2!!!

I am so beyond disappointed!! I bought one of the most expensive versions of the Surface Book 2 (i7, 15 inches, 512 GB) and it its wifi connection is only half the speed of my old i5 and i3 laptops!!! IT IS UNACCEPTABLE for the price I paid (almost 3000 dollars for the computer, and if you add accessories and extended warranty, more than 3600!!).

I have tried everything: resetting the network, reinstalling the wireless adapter drivers, resetting windows from scratch...everything!. I have a 100 Mbps connection at home and all my laptops and smartphones get wifi speeds around 45-50 Mbps, but the SB2 gets 20 Mbps and most of the time it does not even get to 10 Mbps.

I have been reading many other testimonies online of people experiencing the same. I feel scammed. 

Not only that, it also seems that there is some kind of incompatibility with the design software I use (Sketchup and Vray). They work flawlessly in my older computers. They crash all the time with the Surface Book 2.

Seriously thinking about returning it. They pull you in with the shiny exterior, but it is a substandard product.

    I was in the process of troubleshooting this on my own since Microsoft doesn't seem to want to really look at it, and this is what I found on my Surface Book 2. I have the biggest fastest one they sell and dropping WiFi is unacceptable. I purchased a stand alone WiFi adapter, disabled the Marvel adapter and my connection speed was great with no dropouts. But then I discovered the Bluetooth no longer worked. So the Marvel adapter is WiFi and Bluetooth. I re enabled the Marvel adapter and just turned off Bluetooth. Great speed and no dropouts. The surface pen still works with Bluetooth turned off it just doesn't have the shortcuts on the button. I changed my mouse over to a non Bluetooth mouse and everything is still great.

    On my unit it seems the Marvel adapter can not do both active Bluetooth and WiFi at the same time. This is a driver issue for sure, it is mixing the signals and dropping WiFi over Bluetooth. I also notice that Bluetooth was lagging but assumed it was the mouse, It wasn't. The Marvel adapter needs a complete re wright on the drivers. 

    Microsoft and Marvel need to get this resolved before they completely lose all respectability with their customers.

    do you have different network names for the 2.4 and 5GHz SSID's? Having the same name has been a problem. also, do you have the latest firmware for this router?

    I am also having the same problem with my Surface Book 2.  the internet speed is so slow that I cannot connect to pages, and when it is connected to the wifi, every other device in the house is also super slow, to the point that they are unusable.  I am in Australia.  Very disappointed.  This issue is affecting my business activity, and I am at the point that I will not even use the Surface, I just go back to my old computer.  What is the answer?

    What worked for me was to simply go into the settings and select 5Ghz. Apparently, when it tries to use both 2.4 and 5ghz it screws something up. It might work also just selecting the 2.4 band. Not sure. It's really frustrating that MS is not all over this. You pay big money for these laptops and to have some little thing like this damage the brand is just stupid.
