Surface Go 2 Main Camera - not functioning/installed

Main camera is just a black screen.

Once an attempt to take a picture with the main camera generated this message:0xA00F4928<photocapturestarttimeout>

Rear facing (above screen) works fine.

Device manager only shows one camera: Intel(R) AVStream Camera 2500.

Have searched for drivers, Installed drivers from MS Surface Go 2 page all to no avail.

Fixable or return under warranty?

Using the camera app, when the Main Camera (camera in lid). is selected the little white LED does come on but the image remains black. Again, only 1 camera is listed on the Device Manager
