Screen Unresponsive to touch after media uses 100% volume.

Is there any fix to the following? :

My screens become unresponsive to touch if any application uses the device speaker at 100% volume. I have to press the power button, or fold it closed to turn off the screens in order to get them responsive to touch again.

    HELP!!! Im having the same issue, touch screen becomes unresponsive on Surface Pro 8 just purchased yesterday. It works fine for a few minutes, then for no reason the touch screen stops responding and nothing fixes it other than a reboot OR closing the screen onto the keyboard (which does not come with the device, so those folks that dont have a keyboard will not be able to do this!). Simply turning the screen on/off using the power button does not fix the issue.

    This Surface Pro 8 is running Windows 11, version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.348) - this is the latest with applied patches.

    Same issue in safe mode, same issue after factory reset.

    Hi Broox,

    Thanks for checking.

    Next can you get your device into safe mode and see if the issue continues in this mode?

    While your device is on, get to the shut off menu by pressing and holding the power button.

    Then on the screen, press and hold the Power off option. This will prompt you asking you if you want to reboot into safe mode, accept it.

    Once the device reboots, in the bottom left hand corner of the left screen, you should see a transparent text box showing "Safe Mode".

    Unlock your device, connect to Wi-Fi and open the YT Music application and see if the issue persists within there.

    • If it does, then our next steps will be to reset the device.
    • If it does not, reboot and try to cause the issue again in the normal operating environment.

    Can you please verify for me that your device is currently up to date with the latest build?

    Current build: 2021.830.19

    To find your build go to:

    1. Settings
    2. About
    3. Build number (should be toward the bottom)

    If you are not current, please updat3e your device by going to:

    1. Settings
    2. System
    3. System update

    Update the device and then let me know if the issue persists.
