Surface Earbuds has a static hissing sound in left ear when on video calls.

My main problem is that when I am using my Surface Earbuds with my Surface Book 2 and on video calls through Zoom there is a distinct static/hissing sound coming out of the left earbud when someone else is talking. The right earbud does not have this problem. When listening to music or making calls on my Galaxy S9+ I do not have this problem at all. The batteries have been fully charged before using them and I have also update the firmware to 3.0.0.5 which is the latest update available and still have this problem. When in a conference call the audio and mic are connected to Surface Earbuds Hands-Free AG Audio.

Similar issue. I've only had the earbuds for about a week.  During Teamscalls, I'm getting a crackly static that happens only when voices reach peak loudness. It seems like some kind of clipping/distortion. Only happens in the left earbud, and it's happened with both my Surface Laptop and my iPhone.  So far playing music or other video tracks has not manifested this problem.  I'm not sure if this issue is coming from Teams or is a problem with the earbud itself. I'm on the verge of returning/replacing the earbuds, and it would be great to know if this problem is universal (i.e. software/system related) or just a random hardware issue.

On an unrelated note, when charging the earbuds, the Right earbud never shows up as fully charged in the Surface Audio app during charging, even though it shows as 99% charged when I start using them.

I have experienced the same issue every since I got them.

So much that I thought my unit had an issue at first and I asked for a replacement... but no, something about that extra "Bluetooth LE" connection it asks unfortunately delivers this muffled sound on the left piece.

Has a solution to this issue emerged yet?

Tested over the iOS phone version of Teams, same issue.

    Any solutions or fixes available?
