Surface Earbuds has a static hissing sound in left ear when on video calls.

My main problem is that when I am using my Surface Earbuds with my Surface Book 2 and on video calls through Zoom there is a distinct static/hissing sound coming out of the left earbud when someone else is talking. The right earbud does not have this problem. When listening to music or making calls on my Galaxy S9+ I do not have this problem at all. The batteries have been fully charged before using them and I have also update the firmware to 3.0.0.5 which is the latest update available and still have this problem. When in a conference call the audio and mic are connected to Surface Earbuds Hands-Free AG Audio.

Got the same issue with the left earbud. I am pretty disapointed in Microsoft for not addressing this issue.

More or less the same issue. The left Microsoft Surface earbud does everything that it shouldn't do in Teams and other calls on the MicrosoftSurface Laptop with Microsoft WIndows 10 Enterprise. Maybe the products are not 100% compatible? Anyway. Earbuds of this pricepoint shouldn't have an issue like this. Microsoft, please fix this or offer us something. Anything really. Look at all the posts about the issues with the left (and always the left) earbud!

I also bought the Jabra 65t earbuds, ended up returning them for the same reason, the sound quality on Teams was not good. I inquired with Jabra customer support, they said the 65ts were not optimized for Teams (i.e. internet phone applications), and there was nothing they could do. I replaced with a Jabra bluetooth headset w boom mic for calls, and that came with a Jabra Link 380 USB - bluetooth transceiver that provides a better quality connection than using the PC's onboard bluetooth transceiver. Audio quality is excellent. So this does point to where the problem lies.

That said, I recently used my Surface earbuds for a Teams call using my iPhone and had no problem with the audio.  I seem to recall previously having the same left-ear buzz using Teams on iPhone, so perhaps they've fixed that problem.
