I purchased a Surface Go 2 and purchased a USB C / USB A cable so that I can transfer files from my computer to my Go 2.
When I plug in the cable, I get a message on my Go 2 "PC isn't charging".
In addition, on my computer, I cannot "see" the Go 2 as an external device.
Cables are brand new.
Go 2 is brand new.
Computer probably does not have USB C port but has a regular USB (A?) port.
Why isn't this working??

Hi cppoly,
Thank you for reaching Microsoft Community.
To transfer files from one PC to the Surface, you may use either OneDrive or using an external storage device. Please see these pages for details:

Move your files to a new Windows 10 PC using an external storage device (microsoft.com)
Hope this helps.
