Pen lag/deadzone on Surface pro 2017 in Zbrush

I bought the Surface Pro 2017 i7 8GB model a couple of days ago primarily for Zbrush (3D sculpting software) with the use of the surface Pen. 

Everything seems to work other that this problem: When i place the pen tip on the screen there seems to be a small zone of about 3mm around the tip where nothing gets registered. When i go out of this zone the stroke gets registered and everything seems fine and is responsive. This happens with every new stroke.

The issue is only with the pen, the trackpad works fine. I did not encounter this issue in other software than Zbrush so far; Photoshop is fine. 

I downloaded the Wintab drivers, turned off 'flicks' and 'press and hold'. Windows is updated (Windows 10, version 1803)

I really hope somebody can help me since I use Zbrush professionally and I bought the Surface Pro just for this software.

Other than this I really love the device and I would hate to return it just for this small software issue.

    Sorry for the late reply but thank you very much for the information.

    Looks like you hit the nail on the head, I'm very happy we now at least now what the problem is.

    It's amazing to me that something as simple as this can make the whole device close to unusable for me. 

    If we(/you) cannot find the DragHeight and DragWidth for the pen I guess to only solution would be to wait for microsoft to fix it in an update?

    I remember seeing a thread about the exact same issue with photoshop but that got fixed after a Windows update...

    Did you get around to using Feedback Hub app to report the problem as a possible bug? I think you coud explain the problem more clearly then me at this point. I can then make sure I "upvote" your report

    I wanted to post an update on this issue.

    Ive been making some progress on debugging this. It seems like this isnt actually a bug, but a windows feature. Its a height and width setting for dragging that exists to prevent you from accidentally moving stuff and making copies of files. So far Ive been able to find out how to freely change those settings, but it only seems to change anything when I`m using a mouse, so I imagine the drag settings for the Pen are kept separated from it.

    If you wanna try it yourself, execute regedit by writting "regedit" on your windows search bar, then open HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Control Panel > Desktop and change the DragHeight and DragWidth to whatever value you want (the default should be 4).

    I`ve faved this page so i can keep updating you if I find anything else. :)

    Thank you for the suggestion but as stated in my initial post only Zbrush has this Issue.

    I tried both SketchBook and Photoshop and both do not have this issue.

    I know Photoshop has this problem as well but this was fixed through a Windows update.

    I already have the surface app and the pressure curve seems to be fine, pressure sensitivity seems to have nothing to do with this problem (without the wintab drivers Zbrush has no pressure sensitivity at all and the problem is still there, also when navigating the menus the problem is there).
