Yes, the launcher on Duo is very different from the same launcher on single screen phones. I thought MS would eventually be bringing the rest of the customization to Duo. So far, three has been very little improvement. Maybe they're spending their time getting Windows 11 ready for Duo? Since Android apps would run natively, there is no longer a reason to use a competitors OS.
Microsoft Launcher on the Surface Duo
I have a Surface Duo.
The version number of Microsoft Launcher on the Duo is the same as that on my Sony Xperia 1 ii but other than that they may might as well be two separate apps.
The Duo version is severely limited and allows only minimal changes to be made. I cannot uninstall it either.
The version on my Xperia has a multitude of options.
why is this? I do not use the Duo for work. It is not linked to any business account. It is for personal use only.
How can I enable the same options as found on my smartphone ?

by the way, thanks for the rather blunt reply. it made me smile.
all the best.

2021-07-03T09:18:25+00:00 It appears that the versions on the Duo is different because of the two screens.
whether the usual functions will be added is up to Microsoft.
There may be third-party launchers that have addressed this already. I will have a look.
but its a minor aesthetic issue that does not detract from the use of the device which is a thing of beauty.

2021-07-01T12:00:02+00:00 Not sure if our complaint is identical, but I used Microsoft Launcher on a Razer Phone and it let me do stuff like change how many icons fit on a line in the dock and in the app list. I normally had 7 or 8 across. Now I'm using the duo, with a significantly wider screen, and it defaults to 4 and won't let me change it (yes I've fooled with display and font size on android which had no effect), the setting for this was in launcher previously.
Also wish If I had it open it would let me spread the Microsoft keyboard across both screens / pull an app over both screens. Maybe I just haven't found that yet.
