I have a Surface 4 Pro that I purchased in March 2016. Over the last few days, I was seeing a considerable color bleed on lower left edge of the screen. Then I stared noticing that that type cover does not seem to close flat against the screen. On closer inspection, I found that the screen is bulging (curving out) on the lower left side and the screen edge has separated from the frame, exposing a gap, Some of the circuitry inside seems to be pushing out as well from what I can see through the gap, indicating something inside is exerting an outward pressure. I pushed the screen back in and with a little pressure it got flattened. However, after a few minutes use, the screen bulged out again. There is no physical damage to the screen, the bezel or the device in general, no cracks or scratches.
What is causing this and what is a possible solution?

Sounds like MS bought batteries from the same place Apple did. So I guess we just keep on plodding along until the batteries blow up.
But hey, then we all can file a Class Action against MS and collect enough to get another maker's product.. Sounds like it is time to move around and away from MS.
Deepak simply read some of the 25 pages before your post and you'll soon see we all suffer from this expanding battery problem that MS do not acknowledge or address. Short answer your Surface is stuffed, or soon will be and don't buy another.

I got this on my lenovo ideapad 330s 15kb the screen is fine but when I open it, it makes a crack sound
Yep and who can blame you/us for switching away from MS when the support is so p*ss poor. Its pretty clear that they don't read these forums either or would have sprung into corrective action long ago; at least long before we reached 26 pages of complaining about battery bulges and **** service regarding them.
Ah well back to my non MS products that work properly!! And no I haven't succumbed to the controlling world that is everything Apple, but it was close...
