Surface 4 Pro screen bulging at lower left edge and separated from the frame

I have a Surface 4 Pro that I purchased in March 2016. Over the last few days, I was seeing a considerable color bleed on lower left edge of the screen. Then I stared noticing that that type cover does not seem to close flat against the screen. On closer inspection, I found that the screen is bulging (curving out) on the lower left side and the screen edge has separated from the frame, exposing a gap, Some of the circuitry inside seems to be pushing out as well from what I can see through the gap, indicating something inside is exerting an outward pressure. I pushed the screen back in and with a little pressure it got flattened. However, after a few minutes use, the screen bulged out again. There is no physical damage to the screen, the bezel or the device in general, no cracks or scratches.

What is causing this and what is a possible solution?

    The refurbs have a 90 day warranty.

    Hi!

    I've been going through the issues with SP4 regularly.

    Understanding the life of the product in the market and getting obsolete, I do support Microsoft for the easy and justified replacements for the devices in the specific period of purchase and respect the efforts taken for the replacements.

    The replaced SP4 are also not the new, but factory refurbished ones. My replacement has already started the flickering flash on the screen which was the beginning of the trouble for the earlier replacement.

    Would my SP4 replaced again?? Since this is the product development flaw which has been dispensed in the market and sold at an extremely premium price??

    Should the genre even think of buying any Microsoft product anymore? 

    Concern is "Microsoft pulling out of varied services for their customers. Windows Phone got obsolete, now even no services? Were we the Guinee pigs for their trials on WP? No Apps available that are commonly used globally, not supported, now even WhatsApp going off." 

    ARE we to trust Microsoft products, be hardware or softwares?? Is the Office continuing? Should the users also move out from paid services of MS Office to free to use Open Office and Google Docs??

    I had no problem replacing my out-of-warranty SP4.   Rep was courteous and professional.  Replacement arrived in less than a week and was exact model in perfect condition.  The bios did have to be updated but that occurred automatically on the first windows update.

    I used Acronis true image to create a USB3 backup on my old SP4.  The re-installed required I plug in a USB3 DVD (to boot Acronis) and then insert a USB3 flash with the Acronis backup.

    Not sure if the built in windows 10 backup would have been easier to use but I have never looked into it.  Maybe someone here has used that tool and can review how it works.

    And the whichever rep i encountered chose to charge me $650, for domething many others received for nothing. 

    They don’t want to know. 

    I wonder whether that erratic response is how they have always treated their customers and their defective products. 

    Would apple do this?
