Surface 4 Pro screen bulging at lower left edge and separated from the frame

Sadly HenryMars you just joined a very non exclusive club where no-one wants to be a member and the manager of said club couldn't give a tuppenny stuff about its members.  Blind and deaf are Microsoft.  It isn't good enough but they simply don't care and 22 pages of complainst says it all really.

Enjoy finding a non MS replacement where I am sure the customer service will be better - frankly it would be hard not to!!

Same situation here. I got the pro 4 four years ago, and just a couple of days ago the screen bulged. I try to find solution online and have been referred to a online rep, and after two days, he told me that the technician told him that this is a bulging issue (am I stupid enough and don't know what is bulging?), HOWEVER I need to pay A$953.70 for a replacement! I spent A$2K on a computer and did not expect it only works for 3 years or 2 years within the warranty. I would prefer to take a A$953.70 compensation and buy a MacBook!

I have been thinking about in this kind of situation what would Apple do, and yes they will replace this kind of faulty for no more asking! Like when I bought the first Lenovo computer and its speakers just didn't work the moment I take it out of the box, I've never bought another Lenovo product in my life, I think this is the end of my history of purchasing MS products.

Well add me as well, mine just started bulging out a day or two ago. What cr@p! Just goes to show, businesses like Microsoft care only about money. Well they won't have anymore of mine. Here I come HP.

The sad thing is it is NOT just 22 pages.  Go back to the forums home page and scan the options for similar forums that refer to screens distorting and/or batteries expanding and there are LOADS of similar stories with a slightly different headline.  I reckon the total number of pages is easily 100+.

What's even worse is that it is not confined to the USA where the opportunity for a class action is greatest, comments are flowing in across the globe with costs indicated as £, Euros, Swiss Francs, etc.  I am a point in case as my cost would be in NZ$ so we're a global issue that MS are totally ignoring.

I'd love to know how a global response would work and get some traction in Redmond that actually admitted there is an issue and dealt with it publicly, but hiding behind the corporate veil AND using Covid as an excuse for no one fronting in shops, etc, is appalling.  So pi**ed off at a once favourite brand.  Plus every time I see my dead (and swollen) Surface Pro on the shelf in the study it winds me up............Grrr
