Surface 4 Pro screen bulging at lower left edge and separated from the frame

I have a Surface 4 Pro that I purchased in March 2016. Over the last few days, I was seeing a considerable color bleed on lower left edge of the screen. Then I stared noticing that that type cover does not seem to close flat against the screen. On closer inspection, I found that the screen is bulging (curving out) on the lower left side and the screen edge has separated from the frame, exposing a gap, Some of the circuitry inside seems to be pushing out as well from what I can see through the gap, indicating something inside is exerting an outward pressure. I pushed the screen back in and with a little pressure it got flattened. However, after a few minutes use, the screen bulged out again. There is no physical damage to the screen, the bezel or the device in general, no cracks or scratches.

What is causing this and what is a possible solution?

Thanks,

Deepak

I talked to microsoft today as Im having the same problem. They are no longer doing any support on surface pro 4s as there are "no more pro 4s in the Microsoft service center anymore." so they arent willing to do anything for it at this point

Microsoft only offered me a refurbished like (Gen 1) replacement for a cost of $599. Plus I would have to send my unit back before they send me the replacement. They would not provide any discount towards a new unit. They told me that free replacements were only offered for units up to 3 years old. Mine is 3.5 years.

I went back to Lenovo. New unit should arrive this week. Microsoft lost my business on all future computers, both personal and for the IT consulting business I own.

I had my Surface Book exchanged out no charge by Microsoft and I am happy with their response.

Was your Surface Pro still under warranty? My Surface Pro 4 is out of warranty. The specialist at Microsoft was very polite, but the best he could offer me is a replacement for $450 plus taxes.

That was back in 2018. Now it's $450 for a refurbished or a $200 credit towards a new one. It really should be the other way around. My HP desktop lasted 11 years with no issues. Why can't a Surface last longer?

Microsoft again self-explains its incompetence of manufacturing hardware and maintaining a sound reputation of its responsibility. But Apple changed the game, so Adios MS, I already ordered a 16GB RAM version of MBA, which I should do 4 years ago. NEVER EVER touch MS hardware again.
