Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?
The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

I don't think we are "off topic" but I also understand that Andrew7783 is concerned: however, it seems to me that we are understanding the reasons for a possible bug and, therefore, I consider the discussion useful. However, if the moderators do not agree, I will not post any more.
Keep posting. Who cares if a moderator disagrees or not. Most of those are volunteers as well and are not "Microsoft". Disagreements are part of the discussion. Sometimes, there are valid arguments with "disagreements" and can bring out something that nobody saw before.
In fact, that is the purpose of having a discussion!

You can post as you wish as long as it meets the community code of conduct. I
believe that there are several bugs involved. Hopefully someone from Microsoft
Surface engineering will post something official sooner rather than later to
help clarify things.
The Firmware is built into the build itself. If not, it would show on the list and as you can see, it is NOT on the list! No Firmware update came across to upgrade it - just the build.
... is apparently resolved by firmware currently being distributed via Windows Insider.
OS preview builds do not contain Surface firmware updates. This would unnecessarily push Surface FW to every device across the planet installing the OS.
It's possible that a FW preview was marked to be released to users on a specific build number or higher, but we don't track Surface FW releases as part of the WIP program which is of course focused on the OS preview builds.
