Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?
The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

So far I still have not had a recurrence of the 75% start up issue since installing the recent Surface firmware update released through Windows Insider. This might indeed be the long awaited fix.
Even if it is fixed. I would really like to know what the actual cause/nature of the problem was, just out of curiosity.
have you installed a firmware update from insider for which surface? Did you fix the battery draining?
Surface Laptop 2, downloaded and installed via Windows Insider Release Preview. The only issue that has been plaguing me since August is my device always starting up with about 75% power after shutdown.
Since installing this firmware, I’ve shut down my device about 3 or 4 times, including twice over night, and it has started up with 100% each time, exactly as it should.
I will continue to monitor and report my findings here for at least a few more days.
To update: This wasn't a permanent fix. I left it off overnight and woke up to 73% battery

unfortunately, the installation of the .msi file re-proposes the 103.2614.257.0 update in question and, therefore, I have the same behavior.
I have to wait for new firmware update!
Hey @Jose have you tried the the steps that I had proposed to you as I did for not only my own personal, but also for the Ent. units that I had fixed. The units are a mixture of Personal and Enterprise units non are Win-Insider builds.
Battery Config. = Best Performance with SMT disabled equals "~5-5 1/2 - 6hrs" indicated vs. 3-4hrs real world usage with wifi always connected.
Battery Config. = Better Performance with SMT disabled equals "~6-7 1/2 - 8hrs" indicated vs. 4-5hrs real world usage with wifi always connected.
Battery Config. = Best Battery Life with SMT disabled equals "~8-8.5 - 9.5hrs" indicated vs. 7-8.5hrs real world usage with wifi always connected.
Performance degradation of course will take a hit with Best Battery Life vs Better Perf. with scaled back compute vs. Best Perf. Max CPU fq.
