Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this? 

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

October 10 release

The following updates are available for all Surface Laptop 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

    Windows Update history is useless for displaying updates.  You receive the build and that is all it shows.

    Drivers - HP makes drivers for RTM releases and does not recognize "beta" systems and will update the driver to current, but still attempts to download the exact same driver (explains why the HP printer drivers are on the list).

    System Settings - I shut off and keep off "Sleep" and "Screen".  The battery saver slider on the taskbar; I use the default that Microsoft sets for it and I do not change it.  This, of course, is the latest build with the newer Firmware update which is built within the Build and does not come separate.

    Go the the Microsoft website that provides the most up2date Drivers and Firmware Surface Pro 4 Drivers & Firmware Sept. 2019 Download the correct MSI installer and update all Surface based drivers & Controllers.

    1. Go the URL above and download the MSI installer that is for your device and build of Windows 10 
    2. Install all supporting software for Surface Pro 4 then reboot, 
    3. Once pressing restart / reboot hold and turn off SMT is not yet disabled.
    4. Check for updates via Windows update.

    4A) While doing drain your battery to 4% or until it turns off 

    4B) Charge your Surface to 100% / Full 

    1. Test battery now.
