Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this? 

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

    When I shutdown from the power menu, I unplugged the power and after switching back on after 30 minutes, it was still at 100%.

    What I'm specifically interested in is what happens when you charge to 100%,
    shut down at night and leave unplugged all night as to what the battery % looks
    like when you turn it on the next morning.

    This seems to have fixed the problem for me.

    I disabled hibernate, fully charged my laptop, shutdown, unplugged it, and left it for an hour. When I turned it back on it was still at 100%. Previously it was going from 100% to 75% even after being turned off only for a few minutes.

    Is this with a Surface Laptop 2?

    I just realized that I've had hibernation disabled this whole time, so that obviously isn't a fix/workaround for me. (shrug).

    I can confirm that the 100% to 75% battery drain after shutdown issue has been fixed on my Surface Laptop 2 by disabling hybernation. 

    I need to test it for a few days to see how the battery holds up. So far so good.
