Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this? 

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

October 10 release

    If it were ME, I'd join Insiders Release Preview and get the firmware and 1909. Others with SP6 have reported it solves the issue. After you get the firmware, roll back to your previous version of Windows. The firmware will still be there as firmware is not uninstallable. If that does not fix your issue, I would not recommend the SB2 with Nvidia GPU as that has all kinds of unresolved issues.

    Okay, that is very helpful. I will try the firmware updates and see how to proceed. 

    But then there is always the question of how much deterioration the battery has already gone through until now because of this problem.

    I can agree with this, a few shutdowns/starts later, the drop to 75% issue has come back.

    Just checked my Laptop and the same thing - dropped to 75% and that is with Build 18985.
