Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this? 

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

October 10 release

    I thought it was fixed for me too... until this morning. I hope that it is truly resolved for you.

    Will see in next days. However I think I got that issue after a non-firmware update (sl2)

    The trouble with the silence from Microsoft is that we don't know which devices they have released test firmware for. It's a crapshoot at best. We know SP6 owners have reported receiving test firmware.

    I'll remain a member of the Insider program for the time being. If the SP6 received new firmware, I would think that the SL2 will soon as well. They're kind of like sister devices since they launched together as part of last year's Surface lineup. 

    PS. I'm really not impressed by MS's lack of support or even acknowledging this and other issues. The only assistance and information I've gotten in over a month is from fellow users!

    Yup. Definitely still an issue on my SL2 running the must current firmware that I seem to have access to on the Insider Release Preview.
