Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

Hi all, I've the same issue, tho it's a Surface Laptop 2. Just to update you all as kind act, I just ended a conversation with MS support and their tech guy stated that this is a problem known to them and they will release soon a fix for it.

No specified date but "since this is a issue a lot of people is experiencing, the release will be done quite quickly"

    Crossing fingers!

Maybe they've already released this fix.

I don't want to get my hopes up (nor yours) prematurely, but I haven't experienced any power loss during my last couple of shut downs, and I did install an update the other day that I believe was released on August 30th.

I installed these updates on the 31st. I still experienced an apparent power loss after my first shutdown, but my last 2 shutdowns, including last night into this morning, have been fine.

I'd like to see my device go incident free some more days before I'll say that the problem is gone, and I can't swear that these updates did the trick if it is. There might be other factors involved.
