Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?
The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

The following updates are available for all Surface Laptop 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

I received replacement, too. 1803 and disabled all updates just to make sure. The error is gone. Had shut it down twice for about 8 hours and still 100% battery. It has to be either firmware update or Windows update. Battery log looks good.
I replied to you in the other thread as well, but for the benefit of others who might be wondering, I experienced this issue both before and after updating to version 1903, so it doesn’t seem to be a factor.
I received my replacement device (2nd one now) from Microsoft today and am wondering if I should be cautious with the updates. All those who are facing this battery drain issue, have you updated to the Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903?
At this point it doesn't seen that anything is going to resolve this problem except an update send out by MS.
So seriously, everyone having this issue, keep bugging them! I know they said they're working on it or whatever, but that can mean a lot of things, and for a massive company like MS with massive products like Windows and the Surface line of devices, they have issues that are priorities and ones that aren't. This should be a priority. One of the reasons why I paid a premium price and purchased a Surface device is because I figured that something made by Microsoft themselves was sure to give me the best, bug free, Windows experience, and certainly the best support if any issues did occur. This issue is something that I've never even experienced on $200 budget netbooks! How it dealt with from this point is pretty much going to determine if I buy Surface products in the future, and whether I recommend them to friends.
