Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this? 

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

    CORRECTION...

    Maybe it worked after all.

    I turned the unit off last night with 100% charge remaining, and this morning I turned it on and it was still at 100%...

    We shall see if it holds...

    Can you please post the link to the manual on reddit? I couldn't find it. Thanks!

    Yes, looks like the same issue. Hibernate is effectively the same as shutting down, the only difference is that the contents of the RAM is moved to the SSD so that you resume in the exact state that you left off. 

    With this particular issue, I've found that once you shut down (or hibernate) your device while at 100%, the duration that it's off for doesn't seem to matter. 10 minutes or 10 hours, it will be at around 75% when it starts again.

    The more people that complain the sooner MS will do something other than hand out replacements that eventually have the same problem.

    Today, my battery decreased 25% in 12 minutes! It always jumps from 100% to 75%...

    My laptop was in Hibernate during this time.

    I have a Surface Laptop Gen 1, not Gen 2. It's probably the same issue though.

     This battery issue has also been occurred on my Surface Laptop Gen 1 for several days.
