Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?
The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

Funny enough, the link you posted says that I don't have access. I can't explaining it. I just pasted the link provided when I share the report. I'm definitely not using any special build.
In any case, I'm still waiting on a fix. I see new reports of the same issue every day on the Feedback Hub.

This one worked for me:
I made a new observation last night into this morning.
Last night, I shut down my PC as usual, but rather than unplug it I left it plugged in for about 30 minutes before putting it away for the night. When I started it up this morning it was 99% charged.
This further confirms that the apparent 25% power loss is not something that occurs gradually while the device is off but rather occurs immediately upon shutdown.
I don't see how the battery could actually lose 25% of its power in an instant upon shutdown, but I also don't understand how if it's just the firmware misreading the charge every indication is that it's accurate, as charging appears to occur when it's connected to power, it will die sooner if not charged back to 100%, and as far as I can tell this loss and gain of about 25% each day is counting towards my battery cycles, thereby shortening the lifespan of the battery.
I am having the same problem. Just wanted to comment on this thread so I can stay up to date with the latest information and (hopefully) find out when there's finally a fix.
