Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?
The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

Have you tried uninstalling the battery drivers and then reboot your SP6?
I've just updated the firmware and I also was "forced" to go to 1909 and I instantly rebooted a lot, plugged and unplugged the SP and it really seems that the 75% battery problem is gone. The 0,4ghz problem is also gone it seems.
Just on a sidenote because it interests me:
The battery fix/0,4ghz firmware is dated to Sept 4. So how is it possble MS didn't know about the problem until a few days ago but already released/was working on a fix which obviously works?
I really hope that it will still work tomorrow, lol.
So I have a new development. I tried that Microsoft Insider approach, and after a few days it seems to have solved the problem of my unit going from 100% to 75% within a short amount of time.
BUT NOW there seems to be another observation. At this point I've only observed it twice and will continue to monitor it. If it happens more than a total of 6 times then I will update this thread. The issue is, my Surface Pro 6 would be charged at 100%, I am sitting at a cafe working on the unit unplugged to a power source. All I do is light web surfing and some excel work. Within 20 minutes the batter drains from 100% to 60%. That is an astonishing drop for a device that is barely doing any processing at that particular moment.
My unit is less than a few months old and is a brand new replacement not a refurbished unit. I have the Surface Pro 6 i7 1TB model.
My surface pro 6 has the same problem, I charge it to 100% and continue to work with it while plugging, after finishing work I unplug it, then 30 min later I boot it and the battery lost 25%, when you find a way to fix it, please tell me, thanks a lot <3
