Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this? 

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

October 10 release

The following updates are available for all Surface Laptop 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

    I think that everybody should post feedback via the Feedback Hub on this issue.  Microsoft has made a ton of fixes to the power management system and seems to get worse each time they do it.  Both my Surface Laptop and Pro 3 bleed off power when off and un-plugged and the laptop dropped down to 72% when it was not used for two days.  Should be no drain at all and there is nothing running when the machine is off.

    I just posted a feedback on it since it is also happening with the latest build for the Windows Insider Program (18985) and marked it as a critical item for loss of productivity.  You can't use it if you go mobile.

    I can only go on what others report, and the firmware is needed and is only
    offered to Insiders. If you rejoin Release Preview, restart a couple of times
    and check for updates, then see if the firmware is offered. If yes, install it
    and restart twice. Then you can leave Insiders. Then see if there is any battery
    performance change.

    I see, I did not go through this step of installing the firmware separately. I opted out of Insider once I installed 1909 and it appeared to resolve the problem. I suppose I will have to join again?

    To install the firmware, while joined to Insiders PREVIEW Ring AFTER updating to1909 - 

    go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. Check for updates. Firmware 241.1.139.0 should show up. Let it install the updates, then Restart your device once again.
