Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

We are too late in the game now to chase down any issues because October the 2nd is just a few days away and this whole issue is going to change.

firmware to fix the battery issue is not tied to the 1909 build. there is no
information on when the fix will be released.

Hello everyone, I was hesitant to switch on the Insiders Programme earlier. But I did that today with the Release Preview ring. I have received the firmware 241.1.139.0 update. Going to see how things go from here on. But I would like to circle back with SP6 users who had done this much earlier. Is everything still working fine or has anyone experienced any issues?

The screenshot shows Insider Builds only.  Where do you see a Firmware update?

There is a possibility of a bug and I will be exploring that.

Right now, we are close to a 'closure' and the RTM release is just a few days away.  That particular Firmware can be updated to even a newer version between now and then and I will be looking at that closely.  I always watch the Windows Update panel very carefully every tine anything comes across.  I have never had a malfunction with any Build coming across for which others did but I did find that for Insiders Builds, you have to update the Store apps before downloading Builds (they eat up the bandwidth for the download).

the next major upgrade should be coming across in just few days.

the firmware update is NOT tied to the operating system feature update. it will
be listed separately. in your case, there might have been a bug. Jason Howard
from the Windows team explained this to you in his reply. You are falsely
setting expectations. You need to file a bug against Windows Update if you never
saw a listing while checking for updates. Your screen shots show it as a
    separate update.
