Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

This is one topic that is growing to the point of being the largest.  Under the "Power and Battery" category of the Hub, you can tell that it is largely ignored by Microsoft.  They do know about the issue and it also turns out that the battery drain issue doesn't always happen as well.  I disconnected the Laptop for 24 hours then hooked it up again and no loss in power.

There has to be something running while the machine is off.

I just subscribed for the Insider Program... (The Slow Ring, more stable one)

After a few minutes and a few clicks in the CHECK FOR UPDATES, it downloaded and installed one FIRMWARE for my SP6.

I did one small test of charge to 100%, shutdown, disconnect, and wait for 30 minutes and turn on again..... STILL 100%!!!

    Looks like it worked!!!

I experienced no power loss this morning after an overnight shutdown, but I did experience the 25% drop after shutting down for a few hours last night.

So the bottom line is that it seems to be inconsistent.
