Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?
The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

ok, I'm going to do this test: now, I have disabled SMT and I let the battery discharged till to 4%, then I recharged it till 100% and I will try such condition for battery improvement.

Very true. This thread was originally created with regards to one specific battery/firmware issue that as far as I know, only ever affected SP6 and SL2 devices, stemming from an August firmware update, and is apparently resolved by firmware currently being distributed via Windows Insider.
Discussion of other unrelated Surface battery issues affecting other devices has worked its way in here and has at times made the conversation confusing.
Running an MSI won't install an older version of FIRMWARE. As far as I know, you
can't uninstall or revert Surface firmware to an older version.
