Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this? 

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

This should be available on Windows Update:

October 10 release

The following updates are available for all Surface Laptop 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

    It may be too early to tell yet, but Microsoft sent out Build 18990 and came with the newer Firmware built in.  It has only been less than two days but with testing, have not had a power drop at all.  In fact, ran the machine (Surface Laptop 1st gen) for a little over an hour with general web browsing and email and it only dropped to 93%.

    Not sure if the Firmware is experimental and if is, not available for general download for others.

    How to stop it? I just have to tick the "stop getting preview builds"?

    this is a little tricky right now if you are in Release Preview?

    can you run

    winver

    and advise the build number shown? also WHEN exactly did you install the first
    preview BUILD?

    This is very promising and I;m glad to hear it. I'm still not impressed that it took MS nearly 2 months to address this and this firmware still hasn't been released to the general public, just Insiders. 

    By the way, the fact that they finally seem to be getting their ducks in a row likely has to do with the fact that new Surface devices are expected to debut in a matter of weeks.
