Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this? 

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

October 10 release

The following updates are available for all Surface Laptop 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

    Now, that firmware could have been installed a few builds ago since those are "one time shots" for installation.  Unknown if it actually was with the build.  Normally, you do get a KB list of the updates but this system has received none since the latest build came across.

    For those that did not get the firmware update, it should have came across automatically for those systems that did not have it.  Windows Update is "supposed" to check model numbers and build numbers of the machine and system when it scans the database.  If people have to force feed the update, there may be an issue with Windows Update as well.

    Who knows!  I don't consider it a problem on my own since the machine stays at home all the time.

    Driver dates aside, which I know to be bogus, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4037237/surface-surface-laptop-update-history shows that as the current firmware.

    Also note that I am suspicious of the "Driver Date"!  This problem seems to be effecting Surface models across the board and not just the new ones.
