Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this? 

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

    ok, I tried your solution and, yes it improve the battery performance: after SMT disabling and the battery calibration (one cycle of complete discharge and one of full charge), in one hours only the 23% of discharge (from 100%).

    However, it could be only a temporary solution in waiting for an update to fix the August update troubles.

    Very nice...  Jose, recommended to drain the battery on more Time, just for a full recalibration.  Then your Surface should be as normal like before with out the August update.  Yes this fixed things for now until the next round of firmware is stable and ready with SMT
