Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this? 

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

October 10 release

    Andrew,

    There's a Windows Insider build that got pushed out today that has appeared to have fixed all battery issues. 

    If you want to try out your mileage, type "Windows Insider" into the search bar and follow prompts. Select the option that allows you to get future updates immediately. 

    Windows version should be 1909 and you will see some Surface firmware in the queue which contains the fix

    Yes, looks like the same issue. Hibernate is effectively the same as shutting down, the only difference is that the contents of the RAM is moved to the SSD so that you resume in the exact state that you left off. 

    With this particular issue, I've found that once you shut down (or hibernate) your device while at 100%, the duration that it's off for doesn't seem to matter. 10 minutes or 10 hours, it will be at around 75% when it starts again.

    The more people that complain the sooner MS will do something other than hand out replacements that eventually have the same problem.

    It does appear to be a Surface specific issue, mostly affecting Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 devices.
