Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this? 

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

October 10 release

    Firmware of the battery? As far as I know the battery is just a collection of electrochemical cells. I think they must have meant the OS firmware that interacts with the battery, like the drivers and such.

    During my support session they actually mentioned the firmware of the battery... but didn’t want to mention as could mislead

    No, but customers started reporting these issues on SP4/5/6 and SL2 and SB2

    after an August firmware update that specifically mentioned battery performance.

    That is a dotted line many have drawn.
