Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

I have the same updates you have, still same issue.

I've did a totally new installation this morning, but the issue was still present there (the new installation was with 18xx version, did not thought to check, but I started the installation yesterday night and SEEMED that with old version and not new firmwares, battery had no issues.

This morning completed the 1903 and all updates and firmwares, and still battery issue there.

So I guess we still have to wait

I am eagerly following your updates. Please definitely post both if the problem doesn't recur or if it does. In the meantime, I am now waiting for my 2nd replacement device from Microsoft.

I installed these updates on the 31st. I still experienced an apparent power loss after my first shutdown, but my last 2 shutdowns, including last night into this morning, have been fine.

I'd like to see my device go incident free some more days before I'll say that the problem is gone, and I can't swear that these updates did the trick if it is. There might be other factors involved.
