I love the new SP4 pen, but I've noticed the pen pressure is not consistent. The biggest problem is that paint brush strokes in Photoshop don't taper smoothly when drawing. I tired using the SP4 pen on my Surface Pro 3 and it doesn't have any problem. Here is a screen capture of what I'm talking about.
Since the pen isn't the problem I'm assuming it's a calibration issue with the Surface Pro 4. I downloaded new Wintab drivers to see if that would solve the problem (got the idea from this thread about pen problems).
It's not just Photoshop. The actual Surface pen pressure app has the same problem. It's harder to see because the brush strokes are thinner, but there is a much faster tapering happening than there is on the Surface Pro 3. Here is a screen cap:

As some of you have already noticed, on July 14th, 2016, we released an update to the Surface Touch Driver that should significantly improve the pen tapering and pressure experience that this thread talks about.

Well you have the issue too
try using bigger brushes and it will be evident
use like a 100 px brush and you will instantly see it
even if i can see it on 25 px brush
Just wanted to keep this thread alive. If Microsoft won't solve this then the thread should just continue to grow... to an unbearable size, if it has to. Not being able to do the thing that was half the reason you bought a device for is also unbearable, so it's only fair, I think :P
Now seriously, this should be something visible so people can come here from a search for any Surface device, even future ones, to see these devices have this issue and that this is/was Microsoft's response to it. Basicaly silent.
What's worse is now and again they keep releasing a video about an artist using an SP4 as if it where the perfect thing.
And I refuse to believe Microsoft's solution to this is "buy our new pen", "buy our new machine" or "buy our new OS"...

I was interested in a Surface, but the total lack of support from MS on this issue means I got tired of waiting (longer than most people would have) and bought an iPad Pro.
Someone mentioned on Twitter that this has been fixed in the July 14th update. Can anyone with a SP4 confirm that for me?
