Pen pressure and tapering problems

I love the new SP4 pen, but I've noticed the pen pressure is not consistent. The biggest problem is that paint brush strokes in Photoshop don't taper smoothly when drawing. I tired using the SP4 pen on my Surface Pro 3 and it doesn't have any problem. Here is a screen capture of what I'm talking about.

Since the pen isn't the problem I'm assuming it's a calibration issue with the Surface Pro 4. I downloaded new Wintab drivers to see if that would solve the problem (got the idea from this thread about pen problems).

It's not just Photoshop. The actual Surface pen pressure app has the same problem. It's harder to see because the brush strokes are thinner, but there is a much faster tapering happening than there is on the Surface Pro 3. Here is a screen cap:

As some of you have already noticed, on July 14th, 2016, we released an update to the Surface Touch Driver that should significantly improve the pen tapering and pressure experience that this thread talks about.

    I'm also realy waiting for an update that fix this issue

    and if btw you could add touch gesture compatibility to paint tool sai

    and maybe a calibration soft for the surface pen that would be wonderfull

    A calibration software for the pen pressure would be a must have indeed. There is a Surface app in the Store, but it allows to select only between 5 presets. I found out that none of them works for me really: people like me that is used to have light strokes, is struggling with the current pressure curve (there is no way to get from super-thin to super-thick strokes with the available presets).

    I've tried an app called LazyNezumi, which helps a lot with pen pressure, but sadly stopped working on my Surface Pro 4. 

    I would prefer having Microsoft giving us a proper pen interface for pressure curve, button remap, remove feedback,  per application presets and possibly in one single place (currently the pen option are spread in 3 different areas... a mess).

    But we're going OT... Maybe we should add another thread. For artists following the Surface Pro, this is a very long requested feature after all :)
