Pen pressure and tapering problems

I love the new SP4 pen, but I've noticed the pen pressure is not consistent. The biggest problem is that paint brush strokes in Photoshop don't taper smoothly when drawing. I tired using the SP4 pen on my Surface Pro 3 and it doesn't have any problem. Here is a screen capture of what I'm talking about.

Since the pen isn't the problem I'm assuming it's a calibration issue with the Surface Pro 4. I downloaded new Wintab drivers to see if that would solve the problem (got the idea from this thread about pen problems).

It's not just Photoshop. The actual Surface pen pressure app has the same problem. It's harder to see because the brush strokes are thinner, but there is a much faster tapering happening than there is on the Surface Pro 3. Here is a screen cap:

As some of you have already noticed, on July 14th, 2016, we released an update to the Surface Touch Driver that should significantly improve the pen tapering and pressure experience that this thread talks about.

    If its not present in other apps, I have to blame adobe for not writing them properly to work right with the surface drivers.

    My surface 4 pro does exactly what I expected of it, so I can't complain. The beta windows has also enhanced the pen experience.

    yes the shaky lines would be nice to get fixed, but they also need to fix the stupid way of right clicking :( :(

    As a reply to everyone else:

    I installed the firmware today and EVERY issue I ever experienced, including the tapering issue mentioned here to great length, has been fixed for me.

    I disagree that it's a minor change. It's a HUGE change for the better, for me at least :D!!!

    Update: My SP4 is not on the RS1 branch, so in other words, you don't have to be an insider to get this fix.

    The apps I tested the Surface pen in was the Surface App, OneNote (for touch) and Plumbago.

    I'd like to take a moment to sincerely thank Microsoft for finallyaddressing this issue, though the lack of any response or communication still burns.

    I just tested this as well. Finally. After 8 months, I can get digitally creative.
