I have the power settings set to NOT restart when the power is plugged in and NOT to go into sleep mode.
Even with these settings the laptop restarts randomly. I'll be writing code and it restarts. Its random.

I have had this issue, sporadically, since about April 2020. It was good for the last month, but I was careful not to run too many programs. The black screen reboots seemed to get me more with Acrobat and Microsoft Word running at the same time, but that's not a scientific evaluation, just a gut sense. I was hit with the spontaneous reboot again today. I was not interacting with the computer at all at the time. Just sitting there looking at the screen while writing on a pad on my desk. Computer just restarts. I want to exchange it for the Intel processor and see how that works out, but posts here don't seem to be having luck with that type of swap.
fyi we did a clean reboot on my laptop and it fixed the issue completely. Give it a shot
This doesn't solve the problem - I did a clean reboot. After that, the laptop restarted more often. Started a new installation with download over the network and after that, the laptop shows only circles and restarts again - saying for a millisecond "we will make everything ready for you". This is happening all the time. My device has been bought at 3rd of January 2020 and has been replaced a short time after delivering. I think, MS really has a problem with the design of the motherboard. The same Ryzen CPU is running perfectly on other devices (and motherboards) I have with W10 Pro, running the same applications.
I have had no problems until the 2H20 update. After that (12/20), every program is hanging, lagging or (mostly) the computer just shuts down. Used programs: Office-Applications, Citrix, Anno 1800(can only be played with absolutely no special graphics, respectfully), Anno 1404. I used the computer the same way for a year.
Has this ever been fixed? I am still having the same issue, all updates are in, etc..
